2011 Apprentice program  “Women in Business” is Fashion Designer Abi Ferrin, CEO/Designer.  The Apprentice program pairs teen ladies with a women business owner who in turn trains them as a CEO on how to own and opporate that particular business.  Journey ladies will go through 5 weeks of detailed training and will finish with a certificate as trained Apprentice in Fashion Design.

This year our featured “Women in Business”  is non other than Abi Ferrin who got her start with humble beginnings.  CEO and Fashion designer Abi Ferrin became a designer the moment she unintentionally blurted out, “I’m a designer.” At an “industry” party at the ever-trendy Kitson Boutique in Hollywood one night, Abi changed her destiny. That evening, Abi donned one of her very first designs and Extra’s host Dayna Devon noticed. The small screen darling made a beeline for Abi and exclaimed, “Where did you get that top? I love it!” Abi smiled and without thinking, announced, “I made it. I’m a designer.”And, there it was. Dayna Devon said she had to have it. In no time, Abi quit her sales job at a major studio and became a designer. Next, her clothes were featured onExtra, splashed all over the weekly magazines, and celebs like Molly Sims and Rosalyn Sanchez were calling Abi with personal requests. read more visit……
